profiles
From Ayr, Scotland.Frog Pocket has already made his mark on the electronica / downtempo scene with his own label "Mouthmoth Records", established in the late nineties. Featuring much of his solo work plus contributions from Kettel, Greg Davis and Random Number.
The Music
The Frog Pocket sound is spattered with the diverse influences such as AFX, Luke Vibert et al with the added and by no means peripheral ingredient of folk sounds from the fiddle and guitar. What surfaces is a unique and sometimes manic burst of futuristic noise with some absolutely astounding melodies at the forefront. Having appeared on two Benbecula compilations so far, Frog Pocket finally agreed to a full release and has offered some of his best music to date. With a recent release on Planet Mu the time is certainly right to bring Frog Pocket into the spotlight.
