MEMBERS: helmut erler, michael wolf: electronics. melodika. voices.

HOMETOWN: coming from innsbruck/austria, living in berlin.

having played in many different bands together for seven years they now are very much into lo-fi electronics. they manage to put everything they need into two suitcases and play electro dub chansons everywhere from small cottages to big clubs, constantly remixing and dubbing their own tracks.

hey-o-hansen play seated and with the shoes off. they take their time - like a 45rpm record on 33rpm. they never play the same setlist and never do the same song the same way. they never know exactly what will happen next.

first live demo ("hey-o-hansen") was released in 1998, hey-o-hansen were engaged to musically contribute to monthly readings of contemporary playwrights (d.call, s.schneider, k.walser,...).

apart from the readings they stopped playing gigs for almost a year and went back in their studio to record a cd: hey-o-hansen "l'éléphant cruel". the cd was followed by a vinyl lp edition (heyrec 03-00) with reworked and remixed versions and lots of gigs.

at the moment, they are both busy again with their solo-recordings.
