Jim O'Rourke is an almost unclassifiable musician, composer, arranger, producer. Depending on the circles in which you move you might know him for his tape collage or prepared guitar techniques, or for his ambitious neo-60s orch-pop or maybe his electronic improvisations. Maybe you know him as a former member of Gastr del Sol or current member of Sonic Youth, or as the person who sometimes produces Stereolab and Smog and many others, or as the curator of the fantastic Moikai label, whose every release is worth checking out. His Domino releases are some of his warmest, most song-based analogue-sounding music.
