Nobody listens to techno, claims Eminem. Piffle, say the brothers Hartnoll, and their Glasto set's guaranteed to prove it. Again. In fact, it was their appearance there in '94 that did more than any other gig to convince the toilet circuit regulars that, actually, this crazy electronic thing could not only work live, it could seriously outstrip at least a good 99% of the guitar bands in the area. Then again, there always was little Orbital couldn't do, whether it was making Alison Goldfrapp and David Gray sound brilliant, reviving the Dr Who theme, or sticking riotously unfashionable samples into their set a good half decade before bastard pop. On record, they're the ultimate ambassadors of the dance revolution; live, they're total sensory meltdown.Orbital site
