Avoiding the Void Since 1984 GOES FORTH
October’s ATVS1984 is moving venue with this fantastic range of electronic music acts to feast your ears and feelings on
PIXELH8
Chiptune master extraordinaire
http://www.myspace.com/pixelh8
Pixelh8 is a void favourite. Not only does he make chip tune music for our listening pleasure, but he has hand engineered synthesiser cartridges for the Nintendo Gameboy and DS along with software used by the likes of Damon Albarn (BBC Olympics 2008 Monkey) and Imogen Heap which has quite rightly got him the attention of Radio One DJ Huw Stephens at who’s SWN festival Pixelh8 will be making an appearance of this Autumn.
SCRASE
Dubstep electro techno wonk
http://www.myspace.com/scrasemusic
Scrase has been fine tuning his ambient electronic sounds from when I first came across him at Reading’s infamous electronic music rave night Fractals. He’s been churning out the goods with releases on Audio Aubergine and most recently Organic Analogue Records with his Platz EP with a more dub step influenced take on down tuned techno.
ROBOT FOR BRAINS
http://www.myspace.com/robotforbrains
For the past 10 years since the age of 13 Robot For Brains has been collecting music making equipment wiring it up and delaying sounds as part of his fascination with electronic music constructions.
Former DJ resident of BotBox at the Bethnal Green working man’s club even supporting Fingathing on one of his UK tours.
Robot for Brains is soon to be featured on label compilations for ARP records alongside the likes of Boxcutter and Italtek and Swishcotheque records with his own EP to follow soon on that label.
Plus DJs Kiersty and Dr. Bibliotheque will be filling in the gaps with old skool, electronica, techno and jungle sounds.
Entry is a cheeky squirt of £3 all night
