Hot Trees

[ text about: Hot Trees ]

February 2004 marks the beginning of 'Hot Trees,' a series of unique events hosted by Mute artists Mountaineers and Eat Your Own Ears.

As the name implies 'Hot Trees' will form a twisted hybrid of urban and countrified sounds, environments and sensations, featuring an eclectic mix of acoustic and electronic music performed by Mountaineers and an assortment of fellow ramblers, bringing together friends old and new for a landmark celebration of the diversity within the current music scene.

The first Hot Trees event in London will take place on Thursday February 26th for a 2 room happening at Electrowerkz, Angel in association with Eat Your Own Ears. Artists playing live include Mountaineers, The Zutons,Ulrich Schnauss and Adem with dj sets from Andrew Weatherall, Four Tet and The Bees. (see below for info on all)

Hot Trees is neither a retreat from the urban nor the revenge of the rustic, it is an audiovisual funhouse presentation of the best of both worlds.
