Here's something new for ya - The Centrifuge has teamed up with everyone's favourite Notts underground club Blueprint to bring you Dynamix : taking the cream of experimental electronic music and then rewiring and supercharging it for the dancefloor. Music to move you mind, your body, your soul. To kick things off we are proud to team up with the mighty PLANET MU to bring you a showcase of their artists and ours.

Returning to top the bill is electronica heavyweight THE GASMAN (myspace.com/thegasman) who returns to Notts following his revelationary live set at The Centrifuge show in June. Fresh from tearing Corsica Studios apart at last month's P-Mu event he's back in Notts to celebrate the release of his EP on The Centrifuge's very own netlabel (http://www.TheCentrifuge.co.uk) and his forthcoming "Best Of" on Planet Mu...and not forgetting the killer "Superlife" Album which recently dropped on Mu.

Also on the bill are electronic don MARK SWIFT (http://www.myspace.com/markswift39) who returns after an eye-opening debut live set in support of Tim Exile last month, who also has a Centrifuge EP coming out soon. MRS JYNX (myspace.com/mrsjynx) brings a quintissentially English IDM flavour to proceedings, check out her album "The Standoffish Cat" on Planet Mu. Leicester's MYOPTIK (myspace.com/myoptik) is on hand to provide uneasy soundscapes and off-kilter beats.

As always The Centrifuge provide a bevy of killer live acts to enthuse and bewilder across the electronic spectrum - including the discordant melodic glitch of NeuTek (http://thecentrifuge.co.uk/?artist=neutek), Uncool Sam's circuit-bent harware frenzy (uncoolsam.net) and the live remix tendencies of missaw (http://thecentrifuge.co.uk/?artist=missaw).

Room 2 showcases the local broken beat / 2-step vibes of Riddim, and Room 3 is hosted by the industrious Rave Trent crew.

Well folks, its a new season and a change of scenery for The Centrifuge's next instalment of live sonic trickery from the leading edge of electronic music. For this event we are excited and proud to bring you arguably our biggest midweek lineup to date...and due to an outstanding performance by our friends at the newly reopened Brownes in Hockley, its FREE ENTRY ALL NIGHT!

Top of the bill is Ninja Tune's LA retro-digital maestro DAEDELUS (http://www.myspace.com/daedelusdarling), a true innovator in the use of new technology to achieve a timeless, classic sound. Alfie (as his friends call him) was one of the first beta users of the revolutionary Monome control surface, used in combination with bespoke Max/MSP patches to achieve hitherto unseen levels of responsiveness and control over live audio manipulation. Wow those are some long words, but dont let that fool you into thinking this is some chinstroker-haven - Daedelus knows how to get a crowd MOVING, having enchanted festival and club dancefloors across the world this summer.

In support are proud to finally score a show with ex-Kids in Tracksuits member and Notts' man of the moment LONE (http://www.myspace.com/lonemusic) who has been making some serious waves across the world with his latest album 'Lemurian' on Dealmaker - a hazy, dreamy journey through post-Boards of Canada soundscapes and mesmerising lo-slung broken beats. Winner!

As always The Centrifuge provide a bevy of killer live acts to enthuse and bewilder across the electronic spectrum - encompassing the melodic ambient-glitch of NeuTek (http://thecentrifuge.co.uk/?artist=neutek), the live analog mastery of Oxynucid (http://www.myspace.com/oxynucid), Communicon's advanced electro (http://www.myspace.com/communicon) and the live remix tendencies of missaw (http://thecentrifuge.co.uk/?artist=missaw).

Timmy's back for seconds! Warp's newest, hottest electro maniac returns to showcase his new sound...Free before 9pm! We have landed the DEBUT date on Tim's tour, his FIRST SHOW since being added to the Warp Records stable - expect sparks to fly! In addition we are super-proud to host the mighty Spezialmaterial label's UK tour here in Nottingham, with Feldermelder and Intricate laying down a masterclass in live electronic performance to complement Mr Exile's quite unique showmanship. Ex-Sublight artist Mark Swift makes his live debut with an intriguing blend of offbeat melodies and intelligent percussion programming, watch this space as big things are to come! The Centrifuge provide 4 ofr the best to support - Uncool Sam's all-hardware set returns after blowing Blueprint apart last year, and NeuTek & Mr Nibbles show off their programming skills in a variety of ways that will confound and thrill. missaw will be on hand as always, providng the backup to the main attractions on the night.

Part 4 of a quartet of summer BBQshowdowns between The Centrifuge & Noodle. Its been a very special summer of bleeding edge electronix, with acts such as DMX Krew, Mr76ix, Communicon and Syntheme gracing Moog's four walls. Things come to a head with an end of summer BBQ. For the final installment of our summer frolics we welcome the legend that is DJ ROB HALL for a journey through electro, techno, electronica and everything in between - the result is unparalleled dancefloor devastation.
Rob was co-founder of Skam Records, Gescom and was tour DJ for Autechre. Also on the bill we have Leeds electronica duo RANDOM NUMBER and QUIP, Manchester's remix king BROKEBUST and London's acid tech fiend CAPTAIN CHAOS. For round 2 of the Centrifuge & Noodle BBQ sessions we have something truly special in store - a rare UK live performance by electro braindance legend DMX Krew, the Rephlex artist that has been spearheading the electro/synthpop revival, mixing 80s sounds with his cutting edge electronica sensibilities. Our main attraction is ably augmented by a super roster of world class acts drawn from every corner of this land. Scrubber Fox is a new addition to the Centrifuge artist roster, having released some awesome electro cuts on seminal labels such as Skam (UK) and Merck (USA) over the past few years. London-based Centrifge co-founder NeuTek appears to be on the verge of something big. With projects in music, AV, coding, film composition and more its not hard to see why. Spandex is a local hero, taking his glitchy house prductions to the next level with a sweet combo of music programming and dancefloor focus. Live-In Records bigwig RobotWon is a rock/dance/electronica DJ with an international reputation and a renowned producer with Radio 1 airplay under his belt for his current single "Sabre". Centrifuge & Noodle residents Hinton and missaw supply the local backing for this awesome array of talent, somehow brought toether at no cost to you!

Sadly Formication have had to pull out, we are trying to reschedule their special performance for Wed 10th September @ Moog...watch this space.

Nottingham/London noisemongers The Centrifuge hit the Common Place, Leeds on Sat 12th July for a one-off event showcasing a 8-bit chiptunes/glitch/spazzcore assault from ADAADAT favourite JOE GERMLIN, fresh from 18 months touring the world with Screamo-Future-Pop band GAY AGAINST YOU. Expect 30 second tracks with all the intensity of the centre of the sun! Ever seen a moshpit in a computer game?? This is what it looks and sounds like!

In support local hero QUIP provides a masterclass in accessible, experimental electronics. His LIVE AV shows are the stuff of legend, and is ably accompanied by awesome visual artist LIZ AINGE.

NEUTEK's 8-bit/glitch/darkwave sets are fast becoming a must-see event, listen and watch as the master unfurls a dazzling array of crunchy low-bit beats, C64 synths and squelchy acid lines.

OXYNUCID is making his Centrifuge debut, a young lad that done good! Listen out for his experiments in melody, again with that 8-bit/acid feel.

MISSAW is our resident live remixer, playing a special one-off set of forthcoming tracks from the Centrifuge net/CD-R label.

A word on the Common Place:

This awesome event is taking place at the Common Place in Leeds. If you have never come across this venue before, then please read on as it is a little different from most places.

It is operated by members (unpaid volunteers) who organise and run all the events. In order to stick to the rules of our licence agreement we can only guarantee entry to members of the club. Guests are welcome when accompanied by members. Becoming a member is not a complicated thing to do. If you are interested in coming down to this gig and don’t know any members who are attending, then just send an email with your name on it before 10th July to letmein.cpevent@googlemail.com
