Thanx so much for those who came out to support us and Rick Wade on the 4th of April .
The 7th of June sees us back in action and most importantly in our favourite venue .
This Top Floor Loft Style venue comes with a crazy 60's style lift ; in the E2 area . This is where we honed and nurtured what we do now & we've always had a special time there . my favourite time being around 5 am when the sun comes seeping through the window , with a handful of people still shuffling on the dancefloor with big smiles on their faces .Classic !

Music and guests wise ; we will be celebrating & presenting the talent on Uzuri Recordings and beyond .
Uzuri came to life last November with a rather tasty ep by Lerosa , which was followed by a heavyweight ep by the legend that is Move D .It seemed appropiate to invite both Move D & Lerosa to come represent what Uzuri is all about .

Move D

David Moufang aka Move D needs no introduction to any one with an interest in electronic music .One of the true pioneers and gems in the european electronic scene .Can this man do no wrong ??? It's seems not .With excellent releases also , on Compost , Workshops ,Philpot , Modern Love ; A recent killer 12" on Dial Records alongside Benjamin Brunn and shortly an album on Dial with benjamin Brunn . His ep on the youthful Uzuri has been the biggest release so far. Now in it's 3rd repress .Known for his impressive collaborations too , .Not only is he an outstanding producer ,lucky for us , he is also an excellent dj .On this occassion , expect the best in Deep House and Techno & what ever else that may take his fancy .

Lerosa

Leopoldo Rosa aka Lerosa has been causing somewhat of a stink with his excellent output .With his first release on Dublin's D1 label , quickly followed by excellent releases on Real Soon & Enclave Recordings , then followed an ep on ATC quickly followed by his ep for Uzuri .Then features on Germany's Debug Magazine , as well as Groove Mag soon followed and most recently , an article on London's Faith's Strobelight Honey Magazine .Not one to rest on his laurels , there are already ep's scheduled for release on Uzuri as well as the Styrax affiliated label ; Millions of Moments ; which has seen big records from Redshape , Aaron Carl e.t.c. as well as an ep on Real Soon .
The 7th of June will see Lerosa unveiling his Live Set to the public , for the first time ever .

We saw out 2007 with a storming party alongside the fantastic Dial Records crew.
Preparations are already under way for our first event for 2008

We are absolutely stoked to be hosting a 3 hour dj set from the Detroit legend , Rick Wade , who will be in the UK for the first time ever ,celebrating the launch of his forthcoming album ; "The Good , The Bad & The Deep " , scheduled for release on the Cologne based label , Yore Records.Rick Wade formed the highly sought out imprint , Harmonie Park , alongside another legend ,Daniel Bell .Until recently , Harmonie Park's output was near impossible to find or if you did , it could easily set you back £40 for an ep .Thanx to revered Berlin Record Shop , Hardwax ;Harmonie Park's catalogue is now being reissued . Harmonie Park , has released material from Theo Parrish , Mike Huckaby & Rick Wade .

More On Rick Wade :
One of Detroit's best kept secrets, Rick Wade has been producing late night tracks and tapping into the essence of deepness since '91. Known for their universal appeal and appearing on over 20 different labels worldwide, soulful, timeless grooves are his signature. Rick Wade began DJing in the mid '80's spinning classic disco and deep house material. Growing up in Buchanan MI, 1 hour outside of Chicago he was influenced by Chicago radio station WBMX and the Salsoul material and local stations that played the likes of Al Green and Isaac Hayes.

While attending the University of Michigan, Wade had the first house mix show on the college station WCBN called 'Journey to the Land of House'. Other presenters were impressed with his material and mixing skills and soon asked him to prepare mixes for their own shows. Some time around 1991 Rick was working on a mix for Brendan Gillen's 'Crush Collision' show and ran out of tracks that he wanted to include. Having produced hip-hop since the late 80s Wade turned to his studio to create a track that would fit the mix perfectly and hasn't looked back since. In 1993 Rick and Dan Bell started Harmonie Park to release house material .

Today, Rick Wade enjoys a reputation as one of the premier deep House dj's & producers in the world and anyone who likes deep,vibes should definitely find a chance to see him play .

Süd Electronic & Dial Records Yuletide Knees Up With Efdemin & Lawrence/Sten

As it's become tradition in the last 3 years ... The Fantastic Dial Records Label Will be joining us ........ helping us celebrate our last party of 2007 in fine style and not to mention the tunes .

We've managed to search high and low and we finally secured a rather special venue in East London ........ 10 Minutes from Shoreditch . I've been passing this building for years & often wondered what went on behind closed door . the mystery is now over ..........
this is a stunning venue ...... a cross between a gothic church and a ball room . it's still intimate though . with a smoking balcony , a bar , e.t.c. so no freezing outside in the middle of december ... just for a fag . Come and enjoy with us .
