Thugs & Hugs founders Patchwork Pirates have bought worldwide bass jams to London for the past two years with an international roll call of guests including Sinden (London), Brother Reade (LA), Toddla T (Sheffield), The Heatwave (London), Kazey & Bulldog (Paris), Jackmaster (Glasgow), Starkey (Philadelphia) and Team Canada DJs (Montreal).

Professional drunks, festival programmers and record selectors Plat du Jour are Barcelona's freshest new arrivals – that’s Doddington from Friends and Family and C-Shell of the Slutty Oysters. Watch for new monthly in legendary Barcelona sweatbox BeGood, kicking off 17th July with residents C-Shell (The Slutty Oysters), K**O (Desparrame/Delorean) and Slick Dixx.

For the Plat Du Jour vs. Thugs & Hugs Barcelona party the two have come together, aided and abetted by Dazed & Confused to celebrate 2008’s most progressive underground electronic party music movements and the premiere of KARBORN’S epic Nature’s Concrete visual club installation on Thursday 19th June during Sonar Festival.

On the night LuckyMe, Glasgow’s creative prodigal sons rep the low-end electronic crunk genii of Rustie and recent Warp signing Hudson Mohawke, Fresh from his Roots Manuva remix responsibilities, Sheffield’s digital-dancehall wonderkid Toddla T, Greco-Roman’s (Hot Chip’s affiliated label) vaudeville grime and electro soul villain Drums Of Death and DJ Jackmaster from Baltimore Club imprint Dress 2 Sweat also play exclusively, hosted by LuckyMe linchpin Dom Sum. Crowd favourites Patchwork Pirates and The Slutty Oysters complete the bill. The party takes place at Mondo, a luxurious 600 capacity club with an outdoor terrace overlooking Barcelona’s glorious harbour & port.

Drums of Death is a one man grime, electro and soul hybrid dressed in voodoo war paint. Blam! This witchdoctor of bass and black magick has just returned from hi mini US Tour and has forthcoming material on the Greco-Roman label. He's joined by baseline don DJ GS, producer and DJ for the Northern Line Records crew, currently killing the garage charts on the regular.

We're also delighted to welcome back mixtape maestro DJ Smutlee. As one of London's most loved local talents Smutlee is a trusted deck wrecker; check is recent blog-o-sphere bomb, the "Smash Something" mixtape for certified proof. Dub selector Young & Positive gets 'em toasty early doors, alongside co-founders and resident ruffians the Patchwork Pirates and DJ Gigolo "The Mixx" Knight. The precocious 22-year-old London-based fine artist Karborn takes over aesthetics duties to give you a whole lot more than what you bargained for.

From Echo Park/Silver Lake, hip hop duo Brother Reade land for their debut London shows supporting new album 'Rap Music'. With a spark of EPMD meets Spank Rock, Brother Reade bump harder than Raekwon's Ice Cream truck. Actually, BR have already supported grandmasters The Wu-Tang Clan but also headlined Yo Majesty, Kid Sister and Chromeo. The boys are currently in the studio with the Nextmen and bring their superior live show. Forget neon teens and casio keyboards, these boys are the real deal.

In support DJ duo Evans & Eagles accompany Brother Reade on the LA-LDN journey. Repping Glasgow's Dress 2 $weat Records is label head DJ Jackmaster – supa dupa DJ and all round top cat. This boy is a regular at the infamous Numbers parties in Glasgo - anyone peep the recent Numbers party with Modeselektor? Damn son. Joining him are his label's Paris contingent – Kazey & Bulldog, fresh from each-and-every Clark Magazine party, celebrating their Big Wheels release on the Dress 2 $Sweat label (Which DJ Craze has just included on his forthcoming fabric mixtape) and making their London debut for a gully back2back DJ session.

The European A-Team also includes London's favourite party shankers ZombieDiscoSquad with their serious low-end baile/Bmore/electrojack bump. Substitutes and hosts the Patchwork Pirates and DJ Gigolo The Mixx Knight will be maintaining that toasty vibe all night long. Visuals are provided by Karborn. His stunning digital Vs analogue beauty has recently graced Nike, Arkitip & XLR8R mags, Talib Kweli and Amon Tobin.
