press release - Libertease / Un accident Sur

Marrying contemporary dancefloor producers with a Parliament-style, jazz-funk supergroup heritage, electracoustic’s third release from the "Funkin’ Motion" collection brings together a supreme double header of UK underground electronic and breaks names, featuring the sturdy metallic breaks of Meat Katie alongside the bruising, electro-machine tastes of Alpinestars.

On the lead track, breaks, Kingsize and Whole Nine Yards supremo, Meat Katie, strips aways the original "Libertease" jam to its core elements and then creates his trademark soundscape breaks and bleeps. A renowned collaborator who has worked with the likes of Lee Coombs, Dylan Rhymes, and the legendary Arthur Baker, it was Meat Katie’s wide musical tastes and passion for authentic funk grooves that attracted him to electracoustic.

On the flip, Manchester finest Kraftwerk-ian exports, Alpinestars, recently back from supporting Doves on their UK tour, ride roughshod all over "PCH", the Pacific Coast Highway live jam also reworked by Kerri Chandler to great acclaim in this summer. Only this time, they take it to dark, electroclash extremes, a "Playing With Knife" ambient break and the lightest keyboard pads to create "Un Accident Sur.…la PCH".
