Internationally renowned conglomerate Fisk Industries, is actually the creation from the mind of one young man, mild mannered and sharp eyed aural and visual artist Mat Ranson. Based in London, Mat has been working within the visual arts field for a number of years now, while confining his musical experiments to his home studio, between friends and various web releases. On this, his first official release, Fisk Industries recalls an idyllic sun-drenched weekend holiday with friends on the Isle Of Wight. Field recordings combine with dreamy analog synths and low basslines, sweeping you along on a gentle current before the crunch-laden heavy drums kick in and you find yourself completelty immersed. Recalling the simplistic beauty of Isan, and the carefree naivette of Boards of Canada, the debut EP by Fisk Industries is a carefully constructed and presented, tightly produced slice of warm electronica.
