release format In/Out by Oil 10 (CD Album)

We haven't got much information on this I'm afraid. Oil 10 seems to be composer/programmer Gilles Rossire. In/Out sees the light of day as volume 10 of the French label Noise Museum's "oblique soundscapes". There any hard information stops. I have to say, not having heard any of the rest of the series, but knowing quite a bit about other Noise Museum releases (also see the Wreck This Mess elsewhere in motion) I wasn't prepared for anything quite this minimal; I am, however, very impressed. Oil 10's music is an ascetically minilmalist techno forged from high frequency bleeps and blurts. At times it has the oddly funky charm of Jan St Werner's Mouse On Mars; at others it comes on more like the ultra-clinical techno of Ryoji Ikeda, the man behind much of Japanese performance troop Dumb Type's sound design; at times I'm even reminded of Oval in their more down to earth moments. Whatever, there's some fantastically engaging music in here and I, for one, look forward to finding out more.
