Sachiko M., armed only with his sine waves, seems to be becoming the frequent spokesman of the recent noise minimalism seen in the work of Karkowski, Nerve Net Noise, and, at times, Merzbow and Yoshihide. This work has assumed, ratherly startlingly, the same shock and challenge that modern music once brought. For many, the noise, specifically not sound art, and collaborations of these artists is becoming more than trying. However, despite the ear ache, one can truly enjoy this music in all of its dimensions. Point in hand, this is very conceptual, a process or overriding paradigm is flying over our heads as the sine waves eminating from our speakers seem to be bouncing off the walls. Although one will not find the antiquated notions of beauty, rarely less harsh dark ambient; one will find new ideas, agitating noise, and also, the interactive and minimal sound Sachiko is becoming integral to.
