Jazz-heads welcome, indie fans beware! The eclectic Need New Body is here to stay, and it will put up with nothing less than sheer chaotic but joyous jazz rock improvizing and a massive amount of performers. Often, this sounds just like a free jazz album on a free out with very hip contendors, however, there is some brillaint melodies sifting in this madness. One of the great things about this album is that this truly is a new direction for the ever evolving indie scene to dabble in, and Need New Body due it well and with the same gusto as they did with Bent Leg Fatima. Yet, something about this jazzy noise rock and its fun nature that NNB gives it places this at times on the level of Zorn, Embryo, and some of the heavyweight Krautrockers. A kick in the ass to all those who stopped caring about the music, soul, jazz and improv in modern rock.
