The first time I heard 'Lush', i knew it was time for a complete reassessment of my musical prejudices. How could machine music be this complex and emotive? By the time I got to 'Halcyon and On and On' I was dancing in my seat. My body hadn't been this compelled by music since I was a child listening to Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin for the first time. As time has passed since this stunning record was first released the question is commonly asked, 'What are the best dance records ever recorded?, and this one is invariably listed. It is an enlightening and liberating place for an electronic/techno music novice to start and an absolute must have for the afficionado. Also 'Snivilisation'.
