Oren Ambarchi is an electronic guitarist and percussionist with longstanding interests in transcending conventional instrumental approaches. Born in Sydney in 1969, he has been performing live since 1986.
His recent solo releases Suspension and Insulation (Touch, UK), have transcended the guitar into a zone of alien beauty and sonic impossibilities to critical acclaim. In 2002 alone he has made 5 extensive international solo guitar tours.

He has performed and recorded with John Zorn (us), Keith Rowe (uk), Phil Niblock (us), Ikue Mori (japan), Tim Hecker (ca), Alan Licht (us), Thurston Moore (us), Alex Dorner (de), Christian Fennesz (at), Peter Rehberg (at), Boredoms (japan), Kaffe Matthews (uk), Ilpo Vasainen (finland), Gunter Muller (ch), Voice Crack (ch), Toshimaru Nakamura (japan), Merzbow (japan), Francisco Lopez (spain), Otomo Yoshihide (japan), Sachiko M (japan), and more.
