Techno Animal's Justin Broadrick and Kevin Martin have so many individual side projects going on, you wonder how they keep track of them all. Or find names for them. As The Bug, Martin released a full length on WordSound some years ago, 'Tapping the Conversation', a sort of dark dub tribute to the Francis Ford Coppola film 'The Conversation'. Now a two-track teaser before his next full-length emerges.

The first track, 'Politicians And Paedophiles', features Daddy Freddy, a fast-talkin' dancehall toaster who rips through Martin's heavily-percussive accompaniment. Though similarly stripped-down, things get a whole lot smoother when Tikiman, revered by this reviewer for his brilliant work with Rhythm & Sound, cozies up to the mike. 'Live And Learn' is a lesson in roots culture taking its message to the people via the laptop. Exquisite.
