I first heard Mr Schnauss's music on a free cd from Jockey Slut. The song was called "On My Own" and it literally stopped me in my tracks. That hasn't happened for some time and I can safely say that this tune is my favourite of 2003. With expectations raised I hunted down the album "A Strangely Isolated Place" and was not disappointed. Don't call this music Chill Out as that would cheapen it. The album is simply a modern day masterpiece and will stay in my box for many months. Gotta say though, the live performance at the Big Chill was a bit Vangelis/Rick Wakeman! Smile Ulrich...smile!!
