Zoo Telepathy is one of three simultaneous releases on his own Solstice label (033-035) by Koji Asano, now a resident in Barcelona. A three track 50 minutes long album made of noisy violin madness compositions which perfectly fit the album's tile.
A computer generated sound cacophony in tune with the weird Japanese noise school. Although it takes quite a while to enter this sort of 'music' the opening track (the longest) paints a continuous overlaying of violin noisy drones combined with flies buzzing around the continuous stretch. The next track is probably too dense and obscure for my taste and I have to skip to the ending track not totally feeling in tune with such disturbing a-tonalities. After grasping the disturbing and nervous microcompositions from the closing track, I returned to the first track which was by far the best and most accessible with its drifted paranoia and measured madness.
Probably a bit too disturbing for morning awakenings yet a probable interesting and challenging release digital-noise pieces for fans of Japanese noise.
